At Silver Sea Seafoods, we are passionate about focusing on one species and doing it exceptionally well!
Founded in 2020, our family-run business was built on decades of hands-on commercial fishing experience, beginning with Allan’s journey from deckhand to skipper and vessel owner. Inspired by our first vessel, F.V. Silver Sea, we set out to share the ocean-to-plate journey, providing wild-caught Eastern King prawns from the pristine waters of Southeast Queensland.

Since launching in 2020 during COVID, we have grown into a business we are proud of, and we love seeing our prawns featured on menus by chefs across Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
Building on this, we've introduced our new Prawn Stock—a product consumers never knew they needed! A rich, natural, healthy alternative to fish or vegetable stock, it’s designed to elevate prawn dishes with depth and flavor. And this is just the beginning—stay tuned for more exciting retail products coming soon!

Silver Sea Seafoods calls Mooloolaba home—a lively tourist hub known worldwide for its pristine beaches, vibrant esplanade, and the rugged hinterland nearby.
Beyond the surf and sunshine, Mooloolaba has a rich prawn trawling history dating back to the 1950s and is the proud home of the iconic Mooloolaba Prawn.
