As a small family owned and operated commercial Fishing business we started Silver Sea to diversify and showcase the Eastern King Prawn story, from ocean to plate, highlighting provenance and the role the team play in delivering prawns to your plate.

A masterclass in modern European flavours in his Eastern King Prawn salad with horseradish and dill & BBQ king prawns, smoked butter sauce and salmon caviar. Then a blend of Asian inspired dishes in his Thai Red king prawn Curry and Peranakan Roti Babi.

Our Prawn Stock is made the old fashioned way - no shortcuts, no nasties. It’s free from additives and packed with a clean, natural flavour.

We use the head, shells and any imperfect prawns from our vessel and other local Mooloolaba fishers, then simmer gently with red onion, carrot, ginger, garlic, lightly season and then double reduce.

This stock is nourishing, full of depth and flavour and makes the perfect base for soups, curries, risottos and more!
